Insomniac, Insomniac!!

For that last two weeks ever since I got home from Hawaii I've been averaging 4 hours of sleep a night. Regardless of the time I go to bed I always wake up between 4 and 5 AM completely awake without even the slightest hint of wanting to go back to bed. What the?!?! I've never had an issue sleeping before so this is something new to me. I thought it might be my new surroundings as I just moved in to a new apartment however, I'm at my parents house right now and the exact same thing happened, which leads me to believe it's "Jet Lag Insomnia". Not sure how long the symptoms last but if I go for two more weeks, it could be clinically determined that I'm a full-fledged insomniac instead of an "acute" case. So as long as I take a 20 minute power nap during the day I don't really feel tired- I wonder if there are any other side effects that I may experience though. . . Well for now looks like I can dedicate much more time to blogging

Taylor's amazing facial hair or the 4th of July??

Well, Taylor suggested that I just write about him every time I blog because I have a hard time knowing what to say. So Taylor's facial hair is incredible, I just love it, it's all wiry and red, just incredible if you ask me...

Okay so anyway, I've been thinking a lot about the 4th of July and freedom. The 4th is my favorite holiday- not just because of the nice weather, plenitude of fire and explosions, hot chicks everywhere; but because this holiday commemorates the birth of our nation which led directly to the restoration of the gospel and everything that I'm thankful for in this life. America might not be the most free country in the world, most peaceful, or whatever, but it definately opened the door to a widespread democratic rule across the world. There are critics everywhere of our nation and many fault finders, however depsite its imperfections what a great place to live!

"It may be laid down as a primary postion, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a Free Government, owes not only a porportion of his property, but even of his personal services to the defense of it." - George Washington

May we give of ourselves to defend our country against anything that would deny our freedom!
